Mason's Eyes
This first song is tentatively named Mason's Eyes, and was something I made up when my first son was an infant.   He just wouldn't fall asleep one night.....gas or something, so I took him downstairs with me.  His eyes were glued to the guitar the whole time I was writing this.  I am playing the rosewood jumbo, the first guitar I ever built.
Mason's Eyes II
This is essentially the same song, but recorded the same day with all the same settings on the Lion and the Lamb, the rosewood OM I built for Mark.  Listen carefully, you may hear some subtle differences between the guitars.
Mason's Eyes III
This was another fun thing for me.  It was my first attempt at putting together a multi-track recording of myself.  One track is Me playing the song as you hear it above on the Lion and the Lamb.   The other track is me accompanying the finger style with a good upbeat strumming.  Turned out well.
Open E Effects
This was a fun little experiment with some of the effects on the Boss Micro  BR.  The guitar was tuned to a version of Open E, and there was an echo effect.  I wasn't very good with it, but it was a lot of fun to play.
Maybe Tomorrow
This is a great song by the Billy Bauer Band.  My singing does not do it justice, really plain stinks, but we sure had a great time playing.  The guy with the true talent playing lead to my rhythm is a good friend of mine named Howie.  I think we are just figuring out really just how much fun this is.  Anyway, he is playing an old Fender acoustic he has, and I am playing my jumbo.  This was after a long night of playing, Corona, and some mighty nice cigars.  I was losing my voice, and Howie was losing his fingers, but it worked.
White Knuckled
This is another fantastic song by Bloomday Rising, and one of my favorite to play.  Howie and I recorded this the same night, last song.  I cleared the crap from my throat, and asked, "You got one more in you?"  He looked at me, looked at his fingers, and said, "Yeah, what the hell.  Let's do it."  We got it in one take.
Delicate
This is another beautiful song by Damien Rice I learned in Jacob Sweets guitar class at the Old Town School of Folk Music.  It was and still is one of my favorites to play.  This is only me playing my classical guitar.  One of these days, Howie and I are gonna get that one too.

I am not a singer.  I am not that great a guitar player, btu I record thise songs when I sound especially good (compared to other days, anyway...), or when I want to compare how one guitar sounds over another.  For those that are interested in one of my instruments, it is a chance for them to get an impresison of what they sound like as well.
